Aran Organization Team Meets with Head of Independent Human Rights Commission

On June 26, 2024, the Aran Organization team in Erbil met with Dr. Muna Yaqku, the Head of the Independent Human Rights Commission of the Kurdistan Region. During the meeting, the delegation from Aran Organization highlighted their ongoing activities in the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing their focus on democracy, human rights, and freedom of expression. They also discussed their efforts to investigate and document human rights violations across various sectors.

The organization presented their latest project, a comprehensive report on the health sector in the Kurdistan Region, which addresses the sector’s deficiencies and related issues in both public and private healthcare. This report was based on extensive research, detailed reports, follow-ups, and field visits.

The Aran Organization urged the Independent Human Rights Commission to examine the findings and recommendations outlined in their report.
