On February 22, 2024, Aran Organization, with support from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), held an event at Titanic Hotel in Sulaymaniyah to publish its fourth report on the health sector in the Kurdistan Region. The report covered ten aspects of the health sector and provided oversight of the sector, showing how authorities work to weaken the public sector of health in favor of private sector interests, thus circumventing laws and the constitution of Iraq.

Ninety-eight stakeholders attended the event, including parliament members, health sector activists, representatives of medical unions, representatives of the mainstay of health, and the General Directorate of Health in Sulaymaniyah, as well as medical department students (as future doctors and health experts) and representatives from various media channels.

Nine speakers discussed the topics covered in the report, leading to engaging conversations among attendees. The event team recorded all recommendations made by the participants.

More than ten media channels covered the event live.
