Today Jan 21st 2020 Aran Organization’s staff has visited Kurdistan Parliament and met with members of law committee, overall goal of that visiting is trying to amendment political parties law ( Law No.17 in1993 approved by Kurdistan Parliament)

Aran Organization for Development Civil of Culture with support of the National Endowment For Democracy (NED) is trying to amendment Kurdistan Political Parties code.

Over two past years 2018 and 2019 Aran Organization tried for amendment law of political parties in Kurdistan Region and Iraq, the National Endowment For Democracy has supported that and during that period Aran Organization implemented many activities related with that topic, including five conferences, five questionnaires, and collecting 12.500 signatures.

Attends of those five conferences have recommended a bill for submitting it to parliament in order to make it as base for amendment above mentioned law.

With that visit Aran’s staff has submitted that bill to Law committee of Kurdistan Parliament and from now on Aran Organization will follow the law committee tries on submitted bill which submitted today by Aran’s staff.
