On June 4, 2023, the Aran Organization Team held a meeting with the Minister of Health in the Kurdistan Region, Dr. Samana Barznjy, to discuss critical issues related to the healthcare system and propose reforms for the new Health Ministry law currently being prepared by the ministry.
During the meeting, the Aran Organization Team presented a draft bill highlighting several key points, including:
- Concerns regarding the semi-private system in public hospitals.
- Valuation and regulation of private sector hospitals to ensure transparency and fairness.
- Enhancing accountability for doctors’ working hours in the public sector.
Dr. Samana Barznjy expressed appreciation for the organization’s efforts and promised to incorporate the proposed points into the bill, aligning them with the provisions of the upcoming law.
This collaboration reflects the Aran Organization’s commitment to promoting accountability and improving healthcare services in the Kurdistan Region.
