Youths to
Strengthening Volunteer Experience and Digital Identity
On April 8, Aran Organization for the Development of Civic Culture, with support from the European Union, organized a special training on civic action and climate change for 20 young people from Chamchamal, within the Kirkuk youth program.
What is Civic Action?
During the training, young people learned what civic action really means and how they can be active in their communities. They learned how to turn their ideas into real actions, how to work as a team, and how to become community leaders. They also explored different ways to speak up and advocate for change.

Strengthening Volunteer Experience and Digital Identity
Participants learned how to build their volunteer experience, which is an important part of civic work. They also learned how to improve their digital identity in a professional way by sharing real and useful information on social media that reflects their efforts and commitment.
Climate Change and Daily Actions
The training also focused on climate change and the role of daily actions. Participants learned about SDGs (4, 11, 12, and 13), how climate change is affecting our lives, and what individuals can do to respond to it. They discussed how young people can protect the environment and turn challenges into opportunities.
One Action Every Day
Young people were encouraged to take at least one small action every day. These actions can help them deal with challenges, reduce stress, and turn problems into opportunities. At the same time, they build their experience in both civic and environmental work.
The main goal of this training was to increase young people’s understanding of climate change, show the impact of daily choices on the environment, and encourage them to adopt positive and responsible behaviors.
